Hello everybody!
I know I haven't updated my blog in a while but I haven't felt like I've done enough exciting things recently that are blog worthy. I've mostly been hanging out and taking advantage of the only time in my life until retirement where I have no responsibilities, no stress, and no commitments to anything. I've been walking around Paris taking in the beauty, watching lots of movies, eating a whole lot (I've already gained about 10 pounds of cheese & Nutella fat) and just being happy. I've climbed the Eiffel Tower, visited the Catacombs (which is a must-see if you're not afraid of real human skeletons) and I've met a ton of new people.
Now, however, I'm beginning my travels around Europe so I will definitely have a lot to say. I'm actually leaving Paris a week earlier than originally planned because a friend in Paris invited me to go to Croatia with her for a week. So, today is my last full day in Paris and tomorrow night I leave for Croatia!
We'll be flying into Zadar which is known to have one of the most beautiful sunsets on earth. We'll be spending a couple days in Zadar including a day trip to Plitvice. From the pictures I've seen of Plitvice I can honestly say it might just be the most beautiful place I'll have ever been to. From Zadar we will take a bus down to Split where we're staying for a few days and taking another day trip to Hvar.
I have to come back to Paris a couple days before my friend because I need to vacate my apartment and I'll also be leaving for Greece 2 days later!
I can't believe I've already been gone almost 4 months. This time has gone by so unbelievably fast but as they say, time flies when you're having fun and I am having the absolute best time of my life.
I will definitely keep everybody updated with what I'm doing and I'm looking forward to it!

The Catacombs, one of the coolest things I've ever seen
Climbing the Eiffel Tower!
Me and my very good friend Tristan who I only get to see when I'm in Paris. We went to the French school together in Chicago when we were very young and reconnected about 6 years ago
