After many, many hours of researching the best deals I could find, I finally have all of my hostel/apartment reservations and train/plane tickets bought. It took me a long time to decide exactly which cities I wanted to travel to, but I finally figured it out. Here it goes:
I'm starting out by flying from Paris to Santorini, Greece. I'm staying in Santorini for 5 nights, then taking a ferry to Ios (another Greek island) and staying there for 4 nights. Then I'm taking the ferry back to Santorini, staying there one more night, and then flying from Santorini to Rome, Italy. I'm staying in Rome for 4 nights, then taking a train to a small town called La Spezia, also known as Cinque Terre which is a beautiful port city. I'll be staying there for 3 nights, and then taking a train to Florence where I'll be staying for 5 nights. After Florence, I'm going to Venice and staying there another 4 nights. From Venice, I'm taking a train to Interlaken, Switzerland, where I'll be staying in a small town in the middle of the Swiss Alps for 2 nights. I've never seen real mountains before, so I'm very excited for that. From Interlaken, I'm taking yet another train to another small town called Zug, where my mom has a very old friend who will be hosting me for one night. From Zug, I'll go directly to Amsterdam, where I'll be staying for 3 or 4 nights with a friend who lives in the middle of the city. From Amsterdam, I will finally be returning to Paris where I'll spend my final days in Europe until I leave for Chicago on June 30th.
I am extremely excited for all of my upcoming travels, and I can't wait to tell you all about them. :)
